My first trip to Gold Coast

Kerry and Patchy just got off the flight from Singapore.. there was only a couple of hours until the plane to Gold Coast...Joycie, Kerry, Patchy and me couldn't sleep all night..
(I think we were all quite excited about going to Gold Coast)

This is my new friend Patchy. Patchy goes around travelling too! Patchy's been to Paris.. Germany.. so many places. I want to go to those places too!! ^_^

It'll be my first time in Gold Coast! I heard from Joycie that it's usually quite sunny and nice there, but not really hot. So I was looking really forward to it!! That's Joycie in the picture, she's the one looking after me since I arrived from Hokkaido. She always carries me around in her bag, so I get to see a lot of different & interesting places and people.

The plane was at 8 something in the morning!
Even though no one really slept, everyone was
quite energetic!! The plane ride took 2 hours! Joycie slept the whole way through.. she really is able to sleep anywhere.. hehe ^_^ We arrived in Coolangata airport at 10:30 ish and we caught a shuttle bus to our apartment!! I just chilled out on the bus, though there was a lot of clouds, there was still quite a bit of sunshine coming through so I had to borrow Joycie's sunnies! .------->

Oooh, we also saw these hanging bat like thing! I forgot what they were called.. so did Joycie..

We arrived at the Apartment, it was quite high the building and it has an out door pool and a little fancy waterfall thing too! It's quite pretty! Joycie forgot to take photos of the actual room inside... In the Apartment, it had a very "retro" feel. It felt like we were back in the 70s or 80s.

<------See.. An Outdoor Pool!!! It even had a spa on the corner!! It gives out a pretty glow at night!!

We had to split into 2 groups for the Apartment, so in our apartment there was.. Alicia, Dave, Joycie, Kerry, Kian and Me. In the other room it was Hui, Wes, Wooga and Vincent. Everyone was pretty tired so all we did was eat and Sizzler and just came back and rested because the next day we were going to SeaWorld!! ^_^ This is a picture of my room buddies!!

<-----This is a family restaurant called Sizzler. They don't have this in Melbourne. They used to, but I think they told me it all closed down. This picture.. Joycie and Hui for some reason posing outside.. I never quite understood why people were so excited to see Sizzler...

It was a tiring first day in Gold Coast. So we all had an early night. It has been fun so far!! I can't wait till tomorrow!!!

Hi, my name is Mushroom! I came from Hokkaido, Japan and now I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia. It was a long plane ride (I was stuck in a box), But thanks to Adam (My current and ex owner's friend), I arrived safely in Melbourne! I'm now living in Brunswick East!!

Melboure is pretty hot! It can get up to 40 degrees some day (like yesterday 18.2.07) I much prefer the weather up in Queensland!!

Ah yes, I went to Queensland last week with my current owner/buddy Joycie ^^ We travel a lot together, she's always going out with people so I get to go to a lot of different places!! (Although, she does go to Box Hill quite often... Fun place though..) She always says Melbourne is pretty boring because there's nowhere to really go (that's why she's always at Box Hill). But for me, since this is my first time out of Japan, it is very exciting for me!

Since my arrival, I've did a lot of things...NYE drinking spree (I didn't drink, I had to take care of Joycie), Went on a BBQ (Ate a lot), met a lot of Joycie's friends. They're all pretty awesome!! ^^ She's got lots of cool friends (and a gay bald one too). Also met Joycie's family too ^^

Anyway, this is my first post.. so I won't bore you with too much details..
I will post up my most recent adventure soon!! ^^
